Position Summary:

Performs CT simulation and treatment planning, along with 3-D and IMRT treatment planning, under the direction of a staff physicist. Performs general patient dosimetry to include hand calculations for external beam therapy and irregularly shaped field calculations. Prepares Total Body Irradiation data for treatment. Performs QA on treatment planning system and participates in departmental QA program. Secondary report is to department Chair.

Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree or Graduate of 12-month Medical Dosimetry program.

24 months experience following MDCB certification may substitute for minimum education requirements.

Minimum Experience:

None if educational requirement is met and incumbent is board eligible.

Mathematically adept/computer literate and understand all aspects of patient simulation/set-ups.

Req. Certification/Licensure:

MDCB or eligible, CPR certified.
