Job Title: Clinical Technician
Shift: Full Time | Days
Location: Duarte, CA
Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:
Working as authorized by the Laboratory Director under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, CFR Section 493.1445(a). Supports cytogenetic/molecular genetic laboratory testing and specimen processing on human tissue using standardized and established methodology, while under direct and constant supervision by licensed personnel. Assists cytogenetic technologists in various aspects of accessioning and processing biological specimens for genetic analysis. Follows established institutional/departmental safety procedures.
Follows established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, includingadherence to theworkplaceCode of Conduct and Compliance Plan. Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
Minimum Experience: One year of previous clinical laboratory and tissue culture experience.
Required Courses/Training: Laboratory courses.
