The Clinical Nurse Lead/Supervisor for Ambulatory Services-Clinics assists in managing the department along with the Assistant Manager, Ambulatory Services. The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL hereafter) is an experienced registered nurse with a significant amount of scientific knowledge and professional/technical skills related to the oncology patient population. The CNL has a demonstrated level of proficiency in directing patient throughput, a proven ability to use the Nursing Process as a decision-making process to timely resolve patient care issues. Also demonstrates a keen ability to consistently communicate to staff in a competent, interpersonal and culturally sensitive manner, mindful of their role of patient advocate. The CNL implements a high degree of scientific knowledge rooted in the most current, evidence based practice guidelines and ensures consistency with established organizational policies and procedures and regulatory standards. Evaluates individual employees/staff performance as well as coaches, mentors and takes corrective action and discipline when appropriate.
Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
Licenses and Certifications: Current California RN License, BLS CPR Card required.
OCN preferred- BMT Certification Optional
Minimum Experience: Healthcare and Clinical Operational experience for 3-5 years
Outpatient Oncology experience
Clinical supervisory experience
