Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:
The Cardiology Technician is an entry-level professional, who performs all non-ultrasound cardiac diagnostic studies including EKG, rhythm strips, stress tests, perfusion stress tests, Holter monitoring, and pacemaker checks. This professional is also responsible for scheduling tests, answering phones, preparing and filing reports, assisting physicians with requests for information, and other general operations duties.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Minimum Education: High School or equivalent. Completion of course in medical terminology is desirable.
Minimum Experience: Prefer one year of experience in medical office or hospital setting. Prefer EKG Experience/or certification
Required License/Certification: BLS
Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.)
Occasional prolonged standing/walking
Occasionally lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients
Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment
Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Occasionally works at PC involving focused concentration
Moves/lifts or pushes/pulls equipment and supplies
Near Acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less
