The following are essential job accountabilities:
Serves as primary consulting Biostatistician for an assigned area of research and group of investigators . , 
Functions as team leader to coordinate and guide the design, quality control, analysis and reporting of research protocols within the Medical Center and the Beckman Research Institute . , 
Collaborates in grants by assisting in the preparation of grant submissions and serving as co-investigator . , 
Prepares summary reports of results and analytic methods, including tabular and graphic displays of data . , 
Programs statistical analyses using statistical software packages . , 
Maintains department records, reports, and files as required . 
Collaborates with department personnel on research projects, relating statistical methods to medical or biological sciences . , 
Participates in the development and improvement of the computer system and oversees activity related to data entry . , 
Conducts internal research on statistical or clinical trial methods related to medical and biological sciences, and submits work for publication/presentation . , 
Gives presentations of collaborative and methodological research at professional meetings and at invited seminars . , 
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reviewing current literature, attending inservice meetings, and workshops . , 
Attends meetings as required .

 AGE SPECIFIC TRAINING: ALL AGES
Two to three years experience in biostatistical consulting and analysis
Strong knowledge of statistical software packages including Statistical Analysis System and BMDP
Ability to lead projects
