Donor Collections Apheresis RN II Training and Project Specialist
An apheresis trained RN with the primary responsibility of training collection staff. Commensurate with this responsibility will be the cooperative development and implementation of policies and procedures for blood collection activities. This specialist will conduct staff training, facilitate competency testing, maintain and monitor all training records/documentation for mobile and in-center operations, and assist with validation plans. Will maintain operational competencies in all aspects of whole blood and automated collections and current knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with Donor Center clinical activities will be required. The specialist will occasionally be required to serve as a charge nurse or collection staff.
Minimum Experience: Three years donor or Therapeutic Apheresis experience required.
Minimum Education: ADN Degree required BSN Degree preferred.
Required Certification/Licensure: Current California Registered Nursing License; currentBLS certification.
