$19.19 hourly ($39,915 annually while in training)

$24.94 hourly ($51,917 annually upon graduation)

SPECIAL NOTE: Applicants must successfully pass a written test, an aerobic capacity run, a physical assessment test, a background check, a polygraph examination, an interview board and a medical / physical examination.

EDUCATION: High school diploma (or) GED Certificate (or) 12 semester hours from an accredited college or university.

RESIDENCY: Must live within thirty (30) minutes of a designated report-in station; must be accomplished within six (6) months of employment.

AGE: 18 - 35 years of age (cannot have reached 36th birthday by date of entry level test), Wednesday, September 6, 2017

LICENSE: Valid and current drivers' license. (Will be required to obtain Class "B" while in training).

VETERAN: In order to receive 5 points added to passing exam score, military veterans must email a DD214 showing an honorable discharge by 6:30 p.m. on September 5, 2017 to [email protected] . DD214s will not be accepted at the written examination.

RESIDENCY: In order to receive 2 points added to passing exam score for residency, applicants must have continuously lived in the City of Fort Worth city limits for at least six (6) months prior to September 6, 2017. Applicants must submit two (2) different proofs of residency at the written examination. Acceptable proof includes a driver's license and a utility bill.
