Customer Service Rep I

Location – Southwest Regional Branch Library

The City of Fort Worth Public Library is seeking outgoing, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to fill 1 full-time position.

Successful candidate will enjoy interacting with the public in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment in a diverse community based facility geared towards children and families. The essential duties of the position include checking out/in books, music, and movies; issuing library cards and opening accounts; collecting fines; resolving customer concerns in a positive, professional manner; and interpreting, applying, and explaining policies and procedures. Customer Service Representatives also receive, sort, shelve, and retrieve library materials, in addition to performing general clerical duties.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • This position requires the individual to work some nights and weekends.
  • Must be able to take and pass Office Skills Test. Minimum typing is 30 wpm and filing is 70. Test is administered Mon-Friday 9:00am - 3:00 pm 1000 Throckmorton, Staffing Services, Lower Level. No appointment is necessary. Please call 817-392-7750 for more information.
