Community Center Aide jobs are available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation and Neighborhood Services Departments. Are you looking for an opportunity where you can have an impact in your community? We are currently recruiting for seventeen (17) Community Center Aides to perform work assisting with programs and activities. Working evenings and weekends hours may be required

A Hiring Fair is planned for December 10, 2020 at Victory Forest Community Center. To be considered you must apply. Those who meet the position qualifications will be contacted for interview time.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals for the following locations:
  • Chisholm Trail Community Center - (1) Part-time 29 hours per week and (2) Part-time 20 hours per week
  • Eugene McCray Community Center - (1) Full-time 40 hours per week and (1) Part-time 29 hours per week
  • Fire Station Community Center - (1) Part-time 29 hours per week
  • Handley Meadowbrook Community Center - (2) Full-time 40 hours per week
  • Hillside Community Center - (1) Part-time 29 hours per week
  • Sycamore Community Center - (1) Part-time 29 hours per week
  • Thomas Place Community Center - (1) Full-time 40 hours per week
  • Victory Forest Community Center - (1) Part-time 20 hours per week
  • Andrew Doc Session Community Center - (1) Full -time 40 hours per week
  • Como Community Center - (1) Part-time 19 hours per week and (1) Part-time 20 hours per week
  • MLK Community Center - (1) Part-time 19 hours per week
  • Worth Heights Community Center - (1) Part-time 20 hours per week


The Community Center Aide job responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate and conduct programs and activities for participants of all ages.
  • Front desk duty, i.e. deal with inquiries, take registrations, check members in to programs and sell memberships.
  • Perform a variety of custodial and maintenance work around the center.
  • Heavy phone and public contact; Provide exceptional customer service.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma and six (6) months of experience in recreation or athletic services and programs; some custodial experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid, and AED certification during the first Six (6) months of employment.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Spanish speaking skills.
  • Experience working with children ages 5 - 13 years.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
