REGULATORY TRANSFORMATION REMEDIATION CONSULTANT
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Responsible for assisting Financial Crimes Compliance Head of Transformation with coordinating end-to-end regulatory activity across the Financial Crimes Compliance organization including coordinating with first line of defense. This includes organizing and managing regulatory examination activities from receipt of first day letter through remediation and closure. Responsibilities includes coordinating responses with three lines of defense for targeted exams, ongoing supervision, issue execution and resolution, ad hoc requests and follow up. Will work in coordination with the Governance Risk & Control Program Office ("GRC"), to prepare Financial Crimes Compliance stakeholders for responding to any regulatory related activity. Will be responsible for coordinating reporting across all applicable stakeholders, preparing Committee materials, and assisting with draft responses to regulators. Will raise concerns about observed thematic issues and potential regulatory concerns.

Risk Management Division

What you will do
- Establishing, owning, and executing project management functionalities for regulatory activities (i.e., exam activity, regulatory issue management, ad hoc requests, and ongoing supervision).
- Facilitate regulatory responses, including targeted on-site examinations by regulators.
- Coordinate planning, fieldwork, and final responses to external regulators, including but not limited to data requests and responses to exam findings.
- Develop reporting materials communicating status of regulatory activity, responses, risks, and issues.
- Assist first and second lines of defense stakeholders with drafting responses to ensure responses to regulatory concerns are well informed and appropriately address concerns raised.
- Maintain records of all regulatory matters in a centralized location for the coordination of regulatory communications, requests, reporting through management and governance channels, and track implementation of remedial response(s) by the Bank.
- Coordinate prep meetings for internal stakeholders prior to exam and update meetings with regulators.
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 8 years of experience working in financial Industry, preferably in a regulatory-facing role
- Minimum 8 years of experience in AML and/or Sanctions compliance and/or risk management activities
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, as well as effectively building relationships within the Bank.
- Exceptional writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate into effective presentations to external regulators and Senior Executives.
- Experience in a large US bank.
- Autonomous, detail oriented and highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Experienced in regulatory interaction, interaction with senior management, project and time management, exam management and issue management with excellent organizational, follow-up and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and facilitate change through collaborative effort. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation, discipline, task focus, the ability to structure and present work and a proven record of delivering high quality results within strict deadlines.
- Must have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize several concurrent initiatives. Must be able to prioritize work efforts.
Compensation
Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
