Traceability Systems Lead

Overview

This role is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Chick-fil-A's product traceability system, utilizing GS1 standards. This role will seek to increase Chick-fil-A's ability to monitor and deliver safe product to our restaurants. This role will interact primarily with the Supply Chain Supplier Quality and Safety (SQS) and Inventory teams.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and continuously improve the Chick-fil-A product traceability system including business processes, reporting capabilities, recall tracking, and integrations
  • Develop business use cases and software requirements for improvements to the traceability system. Manage system enhancement priorities. Conduct and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT). Coordinate changes with system stakeholders.
  • Serve as Chick-fil-A's GS1 expert
  • Manage third-party software vendor relationships
  • Lead development of long-term traceability data quality program
  • Serve as traceability program liaison with Chick-fil-A's supplier and distributor community
  • Serve as traceability system trainer and advocate where needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Supply Chain, IT, Enterprise Analytics, and Corporate Communications


Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration, with a specialization in Information Systems
  • Process thinker who understands inputs, processes, and outputs
  • Excellent communication skills to influence and lead work
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts
  • Relationship builder with highly collaborative style, who can develop and maintain relationships throughout all levels of an organization
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence who can read situations and respond appropriately


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior project experience implementing or utilizing GS1 US standards including inventory management, master data management, and barcoding
  • Prior project management experience
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle
