Sr. Systems Analyst, Payroll & Labor

Overview

As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will join a team responsible for supporting Chick-fil-A's Restaurant Payroll and Labor Solutions. In this role, you will manage the critical platforms that our Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators use to hire and pay their team members.

In this role, you will also serve as a liaison between the Restaurant Financial Systems team and the Information Technology Department, and work with internal software engineers and external vendors to provide technical solutions that meet our user needs. As you learn more about the industry, technology trends and increase your technical skills, you will become a technical subject matter expert in the areas you support. You and the team will strategically provide helpful insights, new tools and capabilities to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted IT advisor to many areas across the business including Financial Services, Operations, and Restaurant Owners and Team Members
  • Leverage technical understanding and business acumen to translate high-level business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the IT organization and outside vendors and manage changes to those specifications
  • Effectively communicate with others to understand specific processes, deliver technical and functional requirements, and define success criteria
  • Assist in integration and user acceptance testing
  • Support the development of training and implementation materials, partnering with the communications team
  • Manage/validate the implementation process and provide post-implementation support, including system troubleshooting, to business users and restaurants
  • Manage the lifecycle of technology products including their roadmaps
  • Initiate and facilitate collaboration between business areas and technology teams
  • Drive decisions and determine compromises to keep projects moving forward
  • Demonstrate awareness of business opportunities to streamline processes with automated solutions, both internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with and understanding of payroll software environments within the retail and/or restaurant industry
  • Experience working on projects and/or product development in a software engineering organization
  • Experience managing a software implementation and rollout
  • Ability to understand data models, REST APIs, and data flows through systems
  • Chick-fil-A Restaurant experience, or general familiarity with restaurant operation, particularly managing payroll and labor/productivity
