Business Analyst II, Operator Technology Solutions

Overview

The IT Supply Chain Business Analyst is a member of the Supply Chain Strategy & Design team within the IT Department. In this role, you will serve as a liaison between the Supply Chain team and IT Department, providing technical solutions to meet user needs. You will have the opportunity to develop expertise in the business unit(s) you support, as well as an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities. A goal of this work is to grow your understanding of technological trends and bring solutions to supported business units to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted IT advisor to the Supply Chain department
  • Leverage technical understanding and business acumen to translate high-level supply chain business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to those specifications
  • Effectively communicate with others to understand specific processes, deliver technical and functional requirements, and define success criteria
  • Manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities with effective project management
  • Assist in integration and user acceptance testing
  • Support the development of training and implementation materials, partnering with IT Communications Team
  • Manage/validate the implementation process and provide post-implementation support to business users
  • Manage the lifecycle of technology products including their roadmaps
  • Initiate and facilitate collaboration between business areas and technology teams
  • Drive decisions and determine compromises to keep projects moving forward
  • Demonstrate awareness of business opportunities to streamline processes with automated solutions, both internally and externally


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile project management, including Scrum
  • Proficient writing SQL queries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; gets along well with others
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Servant spirit with strong sense of stewardship
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starter who completes tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Travel: 0-5%


Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Supply Chain systems and processes (distribution, ordering, inventory management, sourcing, supplier onboarding, etc.)
  • Familiarity with supply chain software platforms (ex: Anaplan, LLamasoft, etc.)
  • Experience working on projects and/or product development in a software engineering organization
  • Experience managing a software implementation and rollout
  • Familiarity with some or all of the following: modern databases, cloud software patterns including microservices, Internet of Things, machine learning, and modern scripting languages such as Python or Java
  • Chick-fil-A Restaurant experience, or general familiarity with restaurant operation
