2019 Facilities & Equipment Project Management Summer Intern/Co-op

Overview

The Restaurant Development Department is focused on:
• Building new Free-Standing and new Mall/In-Line restaurants
• Remodeling our restaurants to maintain our brand image standards
• Helping Operators improve the capacity of their kitchen and drive thru
• Maintaining the Chick-fil-A building and site assets through partnership with the Operator

• Maintaining existing equipment and replacing/upgrading equipment as needed

*We are seeking a candidate with interest in an on-going co-op position beyond the 2019 summer internship program.

Responsibilities

Assist the Reinvestment and/or Facilities Teams within Restaurant Development

  • Gain knowledge of the Chick-fil-A business in order to leverage that knowledge for Restaurant Development purposes
  • Conduct mall remodel surveys to determine scope of work for potential mall remodel projects
  • Work with day-to-day Facilities & Equipment to maintain our restaurants
  • Work with Project Facilties & Equipment to manage special projects and roll-outs
  • Attend construction milestone site visits on new and remodel Free-Standing Restaurants with Project Manager
  • Special construction or data analysis projects as needed during the summer


Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent academic track record
  • Proved leadership experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Attentive to details, but with the ability to think strategically
  • Willing and able to learn new things quickly
  • Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in front of groups


Required Level of Education

Bachelor's Degree

Major/Concentration

Construction Science and Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering or other related major

Minimum GPA (4.0 Scale)
