Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Director, Category Site Merchandising to join our Site Experience Team to lead site merchandising strategies and content roadmap for a category that strategic to Chewy’s growth. This leader will help create a ‘best-in-class’ shopping experience for new and existing Chewy customers while driving product and services discoverability and presentation across the Chewy site experience. The ideal candidate will have retail and/or e-commerce experience, and will be a data-driven leader, who is comfortable working and influencing cross-functionally. The business is growing quickly, so this leader will have a clear point of view but be flexible enough to pivot as needed based on shifting landscape and business demands.

This role is based in Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA

What you'll do:

  • Create a “best-in-class” shopping experience on Chewy for a high-growth category
  • Define category-level content roadmaps and site experience strategies that achieve category business goals
  • Drive an experimentation roadmap to evolve and improve content performance and site experience
  • Utilize web analytics and data to guide ongoing improvements and optimize site merchandising to drive category revenue and increase conversion
  • Partner with marketing and brand teams to bring Chewy’s brand to life throughout site experiences
  • Identify capabilities required to operate a high performant site and drive roadmap alignment with partner product and engineering teams
  • Lead a team of 4-6 site merchandisers

What you'll need:

  • College degree in business-related field
  • 10+ years work experience, with 2+ years in ecommerce
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally
  • Demonstrate a data-driven approach to problem solving and prioritization
  • Ability to think ahead and set plans in motion for future growth needs

Bonus:

  • MBA
  • Experience in e-commerce back-end operations and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with SQL

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $156,000-$288,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, an annual bonus potential, new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
