Ware looking for motivated individuals to join our IT Engineering team as a Cloud Engineer where you will develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks and ensuring the reliability and security of the cloud infrastructure.
You will have an opportunity to work in several specialty fields with information technology to include Infrastructure, Applications, Cloud Computing (including OS & Application modernization), DevOps, platform migration, and server consolidation.
To be successful as a cloud engineer, you should be able to identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our digital platforms and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. You understand the nuances of different cloud solutions (hybrid, public, private, multi-cloud, on-prem) and implications for solution design. The Cloud Engineer will apply excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and must be a team player.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Participate in Azure Cloud/Digital Related Business Requirement discussions and design sessions.
Perform Azure cloud development and design work that may include logical system design, cloud architecture analysis and design, and systems engineering.
Implement and automate Azure services thru DevOps Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices following standards and best practices.
Design, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions that support application and other core services that require Compute & Storage across the enterprise.
Partner with architects, cloud engineers, other infrastructure, and application experts to provide application hosting solutions that fully leverage computing and storage resources on-premises and in the cloud.
Design and implement application security for Azure cloud native solutions
Collaborate with software engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
Modify and improve existing systems.
Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Network engineering, Network security (DDI: DHCP, DNS, IPAM), Windows OS administration and security, Linux OS administration and security, or System/Network monitoring
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud administration particularly Resource Groups, App Services, Azure IaaS, Storage Accounts (blobs, files, etc), Private Link, Recovery Service Vaults, Azure Site Recovery, Azure AD, Security Center, Service Health, Subscriptions, Management Groups
Web application design experience using HTML, DHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, .Net, C#
Client OS and tools experience: MS Windows Server/Desktop, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and MS office products.
Strong understanding of application hosting platforms (Microsoft IIS, Linux Apache, etc.) and enabling technologies like high-availability and load balancing
Basic understanding of networking concepts (OSI layer, ports, firewall, etc.)
Core skills for Cloud Administration, Network and Security
Ability to code/script to automate cloud services using C, C#, C++, .NET, VS.NET, ASP.NET, PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Python, YAML
Hands on experience with Ansible, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. Computer Science / Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Software Engineering
