Software Engineer at Checkout.com:

The purpose of the Authentication team is to confirm a user's identity when they make a purchase.

We design APIs that are simple for merchants to integrate into their business. We leverage the latest industry standards, including following the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and enforcing Strong Customer Authentication (SCA).

Authentication is a critical component within the payment flow, and as such there are enormous demands on the processing required. Therefore, exposure to exciting performance, reliability, and scalability challenges is daily.

As a team member, there'll be countless opportunities to explore all of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ranging from gathering requirements to post-deployment monitoring.

The ideal candidate works meticulously and takes ownership by running tasks to completion, tying up any loose ends. They should also believe in writing tests and have the confidence to seek help where necessary.
