The role

Checkout.com is currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven IT professional who will serve as the first point of contact with customers who need technical assistance and also be responsible for troubleshooting and analysing remotely hardware and software technical tickets and requests.

The IT Service Desk Team is responsible for providing ‘round clock’ first-line support, excellent customer service, and incident management for CKO’s users and applications to help ensure delivery of service within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Leading live incidents is also a key part of this role and the successful candidate will be able to operate efficiently, while helping to recover service and communicate clearly with internal and external collaborators. The IT Service Desk team employs a variety of tools and technologies to support the incident resolution, administration, ticketing, communication, and reporting for Checkout.com’s business infrastructure and applications.

The ideal candidate is self motivated, collaborative, and communicative with a positive hands-on and can-do-attitude, willing to work in a steadfast and high-paced environment.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • 2 - 3 years of experience as an IT Professional – System//Desktop Support.
  • Preferred previous experience as an IT Administrator or Support Engineer in a high-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge and troubleshooting skills on Windows 10 and Apple OS X.
  • Relevant knowledge of LAN networks. (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc).
  • Good knowledge of Cloud Technologies. Knowledge/Experience on Microsoft Azure will be a definite advantage.
  • Familiarity with SAAS services such as Slack, Zoom, GSuite, and OKTA.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team. Autonomous and responsible.
  • Possess excellent desktop and application troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eager to learn and evolve in a fast paced company and team. Self Motivated and able to prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Creative problem solving with a good attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/5 shift system. (which may include weekends and public holidays)

Additional Information

What to expect?

  • Serve as the first contact with CKO’s users who need technical assistance via our different ticketing and collaborative tools.
  • Provide technical support to our local and branch users, on a mix of Windows and Mac devices.
  • Take ownership and resolve issues and requests to completion.
  • To analyze and troubleshoot incidents raised by CKO users (Reactive Support) or by monitoring activities (Pro-active Support) and provide the first level of support.
  • Work and communicate efficiently with other Checkout.com user bases to resolve specific issues.
  • Document and build Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support day-to-day activities.
  • Identify and escalate infrastructure and application-related issues in a timely manner
  • Own Incidents and resolutions.
  • Implement all ITSM processes defined.
