zOS Mainframe Network Systems Engineer
In this role you will be joining a team of technical professionals supporting large-scale z/OS systems platform. This position requires an experienced systems programmer with at least 7 years of experience supporting the zOS Mainframe Network environment. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining the integrity and data/IP security of the Mainframe's host communication subsystems and associated program products.
What you are good at
- Acquire upgrades, install, test and migrate system software products in a highly available IBM Mainframe z/OS SYSPLEX multiple LPAR environment that utilizes JES2.
- Provide intradepartmental technical consulting for system and network related products
- Mentor and train personnel on z/OS data communication
Seven or more years of experience as a Mainframe Network engineer supporting Parallel SysplexConfigure, debug and maintain TCPIP subsystems configurationsConfigure, debug, and maintain VTAM subsystems configurationsKnowledge of all products using SNA & IP ( DB2, CICS, TSO/ISPF, Netview, Connect:Direct, JES2)Utilize mainframe Configuration Manager under z/OSMFConfigure and implement AT-TLS rules ( digital certificate management)Configure and implement IPSEC policies ( permit/deny rules , VPN-- ipsec tunnels)Utilize SMP/E, TSO/ISPF and SDSF/ISPF to monitor, install, configure, and maintain system program productsSecure Encrypted data transfers (NDM, SFTP and FTP/TLS)Tcpip trace analysis - IP, Socket, OSA adapter ,SNA(EE)Nice to have: Z/VM network components configuration and maintain
