Staff Project Coordinator

Your Opportunity At Schwab, the Global Data Technology (GDT) organization governs the strategy and implementation of the enterprise data warehouse and emerging data platforms. We help Marketing, Finance and executive leadership make fact-based decisions by integrating and analyzing data. This role will be a part of the GDT Business Management Office (BMO) and deliver business value through disciplined and predictable planning and management of organizational objectives, clear communications to leadership, and process optimization.

What you're good at
As a Project Manager/Project Coordinator you are responsible for leading and supporting strategic execution initiatives:

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Fundamental Operating Expense (FOEx)/ internal project initiatives
  • Workforce planning
  • Compile organizational communications; gather data from managers, decipher it, and provide consolidated reports to leadership
  • FOEX budget management
  • FOEX resource allocations
  • Represent GDT in various cross-functional initiatives (eg intern program); gather information and report
  • Meet with offshore vendors; support vendor coordination and management activities
  • Confluence space management
  • Support Annual Operating Plan
  • Gather information to support various approval processes


What you have
  • 5+ years of experience in IT business management (general understanding of process & procedure)
  • Ability to self-manage, seek answers, provide insights, and roll detailed data up into an executive summary
  • Knowledge of change management / process improvement methodologies and practices
  • Familiarity with resource and budget planning
  • Proven ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office 2010 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) and MS Project 2010
  • BA/BS Degree

In addition, ideal candidates will also have the following desired qualifications:
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Visio
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
  • Background experience in financial services industry
  • Experience with and understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum
