The Risk Analytics and Model Development team is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated model developer at the Senior Manager level. The team falls within the Financial Risk Management function under the broader Corporate Risk Management organization. The team's primary functions involve conducting quantitative research and developing models.
What you are good at
The model developer will be primarily involved with models related to mortgage loan and HELOC portfolios. The model developer will play a crucial role in new model development initiatives as well as providing enhancements and support to existing models.

- Overcome challenges involving data analytics, and develop computational, statistical and econometric models.
- Collaborate with key business partners to drive continuous improvement of models and model performance.
- Document the rationale and supporting evidence for model development.
- Document model limitations and conduct tests to ensure that the model limitations do not adversely impact model accuracy.
- Present the results in a meaningful way to senior leaders and executives.
What you have
- Master's or more advanced degree in a discipline (statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, financial engineering, applied and computational mathematics, and other disciplines in physical sciences or engineering) that require heavy use of computational mathematics and/or statistical techniques.
- 5+ years of experience in a quantitative discipline with strong experience working with financial Prepayment and Credit models.
- Demonstrated modeling experience and coding skills necessary to deploy financial-focused software.
- Advanced proficiency in R with knowledge of Python.
- Experience using relational databases such as SQL server, Teradata; knowledge in DB table design, SQL programming, query optimization
- Proficiency in other general-purpose programming languages, and in AI and Machine Learning algorithms will be a plus.
- Knowledge of working on cloud platforms, and model governance and regulatory requirements for large US banks will be a plus.
