Your future duties and responsibilities
What you'll do (assignments may include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas):
• Learn about CGI's HCx practice by working side-by-side with our team of experts from a variety of interdisciplinary backgrounds including business strategy, design, and research
• Potential project types include: process assessments, product and business strategy, and user experience/user interface (UX/UI) design delivery
• Design, execute, and analyze user research
• Apply Human Centered Design methods to understand and visualize information
• Participate in collaborative workshops, working visually in real-time
• Hold design reviews and sessions with clients
• Work collaboratively with other designers, developers, solution architects, and project managers throughout the software build process
• Create compelling and cohesive user interface designs and produce deliverables that tell the design story

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
What you'll need:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college pursuing bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Previous candidates have come from areas of focus including: Human-Centered Research, Business Strategy, Experience and Service Design, Rapid Prototyping
• Enjoy working as part of a team and have the ability to work independently
• Have strong, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
• Understand visual design principles and have a familiarity with common design tools
• Rapidly generate and share ideas through prototypes and whiteboarding
• Have a willingness to learn from feedback and grow from new experiences
• A positive outlook and desire for learning
• Excellent problem solving, written and oral communication skills
• Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
• Ability to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $19/ - $25/ hour.
