Senior Capture Manager

Cerner Government Services is seeking a Senior Capture Manager for Information Technology Opportunities to join our outstanding Strategic Business Development team! You will report to the Senior Director of Capture and be responsible for leading and driving the capture processes in concert with our business division leaders.
You will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase, post-submittal activities and be responsible for leading medium to large opportunities toward high win probability. You will design, organize and manage proposal and contracting strategies to win and deliver business in the government sector as well as work in conjunction with Strategic Business Development for developing and executing capture strategies for assigned opportunities to secure contracts. In scope for this role will be to assess new business opportunities to make determinations regarding bid/no-bid decisions and lead the design and execution of winning proposal strategies and be responsible for win theme development, solutions development, competitive assessments, teaming strategies, pricing strategy recommendations (based on a price to win and other competitive assessments), communications plans, action plans and execution plans for the opportunities that they are assigned.

In scope for this role will be to manage the effective execution of capture pursuits, tracking performance to cost and schedule, and communicating status to leadership. Lastly, understanding and leveraging industry trends and best practices to develop and execute capturing strategies and processes to successfully secure new government business will be essential for this role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years of Health care information technology (HCIT) or federal government project management, consulting or business development work experience
- At least 3 years of federal capture management work experience in the IT field
- Shipley or equivalent industry-standard capture management certifications strongly desired
- Must be currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Arlington, VA area to work in the CGS Rosslyn Office
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%
