Cerner is looking for a Lead Facility Engineer to join Cerner's Properties Team! Our Properties team is responsible for managing our owned and leased spaces, building maintenance, associate moves, and furniture configuring and installations. As a Lead Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining all building equipment and identifying potential improvements for operational efficiency. You will be expected to perform advanced, hands-on operation and maintenance of all building-related equipment and systems including mechanical, electrical, building automation and control systems, and fire/life/safety. Responsibilities include conducting operation and maintenance according to best practice and in compliance with all safety procedures, conducting building rounds and maintaining logs, reading and documentation related to equipment. You will report and mitigate any equipment or noted system anomalies, hazardous materials or situations, and unsafe work practices observed on rounds. You'll be expected to monitor and assist subcontractors during projects, maintenance and repairs as well as identify and resolve operations, engineering and quality issues. You will work independently on defined projects as well as preventative and demand maintenance. You will mentor and assist department team members during repair and project work.
- High School Diploma
- At least 10 years of general mechanical work experience
- At least 10 years of general maintenance work experience in a commercial or corporate office building
- At least 10 years of general mechanical work experience in a commercial or corporate office building
- At least 10 years of building management systems (BMS) work experience
- Operate company vehicles, radios or assigned equipment
- Work environment involves exposure to outside elements/inclement weather
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
