Job Description

Cerner's Organizational Effectiveness and Change team has a Senior Org Effectiveness/Org Development Consultant opening!In this role, you will partner with senior business leaders, strategic partners and HRBPs to solve complex organizational challenges with strategies and solutions that increase our organizational effectiveness and efficiency. You will assess critical business issues and provide input, advice, direction and execution to advance the organization's business strategy. As a consultant, you will assess the need for organization design, define design criteria, evaluate alternatives, implement changes, using automated tools and technology for data driven decision making. You will lead design and delivery of multi-disciplinary solutions, including organization design, org health assessment, team effectiveness, behavioral change and executive coaching. You will be successful by building trust and collaborating with teams in a global and virtual environment, partnering effectively with HRBPs and OD leaders across the enterprise to share knowledge and skills. Working closely with HR teams on strategies that maximize associate engagement and enablement, you will facilitate a culture that maximizes organizational productivity and associate satisfaction.
This consultant will deliver expertise to a variety of projects including organization assessment, org design, and culture transformation across a diverse set of business units. Effectively adapting the consulting style and approach to the culture of each business unit and adopting a shared mindset with HR and senior leadership will ensure sustainable results. This associate will provide expertise and facilitate strategic planning, change management, leadership assimilation and other organization interventions while providing leadership and direction to cross-functional project team(s). The consultant will continually develop and apply broad organizational knowledge to business challenges, recognizing patterns through an enterprise and systems thinking mindset.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Management, Business Administration, and Education or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 7 years of management consulting work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of change management work and/or management consulting experience
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting a complex client group
  • At least 8 years of experience in organizational development including assessing organizations, designing and implementing organizational development initiatives
  • A Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, HR Management, MBA or a related field
  • Five or more years of relevant professional level experience (e.g., organization development, program design and management, etc)

Expectations
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time
