Job Description

Join the Cerner ITWorks team onsite at Tiger Institute-University of Missouri Hospital working in partnership on the continuous improvement of healthcare for the Columbia, MO area.

As an Asset Specialist on the Biomedical Equipment team, you will support procurement and management of software and hardware for the University of Missouri Hospital. Responsibilities are to monitor and respond to internal or external inquiries and service requests as well as receive and process purchased or returned equipment or assets. Also, track equipment inventory and deployed assets, execute processes for disposal of assets and manage warranty and repair-related tasks. Other aspects include data entry in software systems or tools and audit work to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years procurement of software or technology-related hardware work experience
  • At least 1 year experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • At least 6 months experience with PeopleSoft
  • Proficient in Excel

Expectations
  • Must live in or around the Columbia, MO area
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75lbs
