Cerner is hiring a Functional Fitness Specialist for a brand new, state of the art wellness facility in Huntsville, AL! As our Functional Fitness Specialist, you will work with our care team to coach members on how to efficiently and effectively achieve fitness related goals to improve overall performance, while using a holistic approach. This includes educating members on fitness topics and leveraging proper equipment and technology to create customized fitness programs. You will be tasked with managing and monitoring the members for compliance and engagement in the fitness programs and teaching any group fitness classes. You will also be responsible for operational tasks including equipment maintenance, laundry services, facility cleaning and organization, and utilizing third party and partner relationships as needed. Our Functional Fitness Specialist will build relationships with our members by assisting them at the fitness center front desk and answering any questions regarding center policies and procedures when appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 1 year of fitness industry workexperience
- Certified Functional Training Specialist Certification
- Group Exercise Instructor Certification- American College of Sports Medicine
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
- CPR Certification
- Previous work experience in an Integrative setting
- Master's degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science
- Mustlive in or near the Huntsville, AL area
