Senior Business Development Manager

JOB ACTIVITIES

As a Business Development Manager you will:

  • Sell talent assessment solutions into a portfolio of 20 UK Enterprise clients (employee size 5000 ) in order to achieve sales growth to agreed target levels and beyond.
  • Carry out strategic management and planning of key accounts and all relationships within them to embed CEB’s product and services
  • Actively seek and develop new streams of business within your enterprise Account portfolio
  • Meet with clients face to face to gain an in depth understanding of their business and HR strategy using the CEB Strategic Talent Management framework.
  • Review the application of CEB products within client companies and recommend appropriate applications of CEB products and services
  • Liaise with the various delivery teams within CEB to ensure the highest quality delivery of client projects
  • Write proposals and quotes to clients as part of meeting follow-up
  • Write & deliver presentations to clients and at local regional events
  • Effective diary planning and territory management
  • Effective management of sales pipeline using sf.com
  • Attend open days and exhibitions to promote CEB
  • Follow up on enquiries from marketing activities
  • Attend monthly team meetings, regionally based
  • Have a thorough understanding & strong product knowledge of all CEB products & training

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of successful sales/account management experience, including holding commercial negotiations within a blue-chip client base
  • Proven ability to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals
  • Experience of managing multiple commercial processes (new business sales and renewals), forecasting precisely, and identifying challenges to a positive commercial outcome
  • Solid understanding of business concepts for large corporations, as well as CEB’s product portfolio
  • Strong ethic for fulfilling service requests and keen interest in building relationships with executives
  • The role is field based so a driving license is essential
