Position: Quantitative Analyst (Talent Management Labs)

The Talent Management Labs (formerly the Global Research Office/GRO) is currently seeking a Quantitative Analyst for its Talent Data Lab. The Talent Data Lab leverages public proprietary quantitative data from across CEB businesses to enable analysis and insight generation of complex people-related challenges faced by leading organizations.

This position at CEB is for individuals interested in conducting data-driven research and analysis—the foundation for any data science, strategic planning or research-oriented career. Analysts enjoy exposure to the full array of strategic data work: data management and processes, panel survey administration, advanced analytics, and increasingly Big Data tools and techniques focused on peeling apart ideas in search of actionable insights.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing large, complex, disparate data sets to identify actionable insights for senior executives
  • Assisting with large-scale data collection efforts through administration of multi-national panel surveys
  • Employing analytical tools, such as root cause analysis, to identify the drivers of members’ business problems and to create hypotheses regarding solutions
  • Building benchmark and other standardized data reports for members with simple and insightful graphics
  • Communicating and presenting analytical insights to internal stakeholders
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to use proprietary data for additional new products and services
  • Managing stakeholders through the project lifecycle (e.g., project planning, adhering to timelines, providing status updates, working with the extended team)
  • Providing timely support to the extended TM Labs team on other research and analytics projects

Required skills:

  • Masters in disciplines with a strong quantitative and analytical component, including Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, and Economics
  • Exceptional record of academic achievements
  • Proficiency with statistical concepts and application
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical software package (R, Python, SPSS)
  • Basic knowledge of at least one visualization tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Original/creative thinking and superior problem solving abilities
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and strong commitment to high quality results to serve needs of CEB members and internal partners
  • Self-motivated/self-starter approach to projects
  • Basic comprehension of database design/maintenance and concepts of data quality
  • Programming or advanced statistical skills a strong plus.

Good to have:

  • Advanced knowledge of statistical model building techniques (logistic regression, random forests, decision trees, SVMs, etc.)
  • Proficiency with text and sentiment analysis
  • Strong coding skills in R, Python and SPSS
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., macros, VBA)
