CEB is currently seeking a Product Program Manager. Under minimal direction, the Product Program Manager leads multiple complex projects and is accountable for the quality of the results, timely delivery, and the management of scope, schedule, budget, benefits realization, and stakeholder satisfaction. The Program Manager ensures that projects are planned and executed in a manner consistent with company strategy, commitments, goals, and standards. The Product Program Manager reports to the Head of Enterprise Program Management Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages activities associated with complex product, process and systems projects of varying types and sizes, applying project management principles and techniques tailored to the individual project
  • Utilizes project management tools to track project variables and to provide project reporting and control activities
  • Manages project scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with defined parameters
  • Provides timely project status reporting and communications
  • Conducts project team and stakeholder meetings, appropriately elevating issues of scope, schedule, cost, and customization for executive-level review and disposition
  • Works with business and product owners and IT managers to ensure that project scope is fully defined, that exclusions from scope are identified, and that business and technical assumptions and constraints are documented
  • Defines project priorities with input from stakeholders; develops and documents project plans and schedules, identifying all tasks necessary to bring the project to fruition; assigns realistic start and end dates to each task and oversees the activities of iterative-delivery self-managed development teams, as appropriate
  • Works closely with all sub-project teams to optimize the project approach
  • Identifies project risks and develops plans to assess, manage, track report, escalate and mitigate them
  • Identifies skills required to support project activities; works with the appropriate managers to identifies resources with appropriate skills for project activities; co-ordinates project resources including staff and contractors (onshore and offshore) within a matrix environment
  • Manages the product development lifecycle process for projects, and using established methodologies executes the phases of the project lifecycle appropriate to the project and methodology
  • Manages project change control procedures
  • Participates in and sometimes leads feasibility studies and cost/benefit analyses
  • Provides input to Business Case development for new product and process/system initiatives
  • Serves as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments and communicate with other management, developers, product managers and technical support specialists on product issues. Proactively proposes process-improvement and best practice initiatives and implements them, when approved
  • Mentors, trains, and oversee ePMO team members as required
  • Performs additional tasks as necessary

  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables
  • Quick study with the ability to learn and operate effectively in new environments
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Project and Visio
  • Experience with product development, software product development and agile methodologies

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of complex project management experience developing project charters, plans, work breakdown structures, risk and issue resolution, sprint, test and release planning
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification highly desired
  • Management of teams in both matrix and projectized environments
