Position Summary : Graphic Designer

The Print Design Associate guides the CEB member's visual experience by creating a presentation of research data and analysis. The designer creates graphics and layouts that highlight important insights, clarify complex data, and create a narrative flow to maximize member impact. This position involves interacting with global peers and client groups, understanding their needs, and collaborating with them to make aesthetically appealing corporate designs within established graphic and brand parameters. This position requires proficiency with Adobe InDesign and a willingness to work with a team.

Key Responsibilities

Functional—At the core of this role, the Design Associate will ensure the final product is high quality and meets graphic and brand standards. Other functional role expectations will include the following:

  • Create page layouts using the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Produce quality work in a fast-paced, process-driven environment, meeting client expectations for quality, creativity, accuracy, and turnaround time.
  • Enforce consistency of brand standards.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality control through self-proofing and adhering to the CEB style guide.
  • Uphold consistently high-quality product and service expectations across the department.
  • Display understanding of the Pantone Color Guide and prepare files for vendor printing.
  • Understand the importance of in-house style, guidelines, and templates and consistently implement in the daily work flow.
  • Identify and elevate any inefficient department processes to manager.
  • Execute initiatives as requested by department leadership.
  • Provide timely project tracking and department reporting information through daily administrative tasks.

Teamwork—The ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, support and build a collaborative environment, and encourage others is integral to success in this role. Design Associates will also be expected to do the following:

  • Work closely with peers to resolve problems effectively and positively.

  • Provide floating support for teammates on various projects as needed including providing overtime support.

Project Management and Client Communication—Project management and client communication are important aspects of the role. In this role you will support projects through multiple phases of development. Other role expectations will include the following:

  • Support multiple long- and short-term projects while aiming to stay within the established hours.
  • Review and determine if all information has been obtained to complete a project. If information is missing, seek out the missing information from the appropriate partners.
  • Provide additional project management support when needed.
  • Be flexible enough to bend with the requirements of a project or client needs without compromising quality or standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication with team members and clients (as required) for projects and follow established guidelines for obtaining approvals in order to meet designated deadlines.
  • Meet client expectations and have the ability to understand client requirements and reflect that in the design layouts and visuals.
  • Track time diligently and accurately.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in a related discipline and/or 1-2 years experience in print/graphic design field
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Familiarity with standard industry proofreading marks preferred
  • Familiarity with the Macintosh platform preferred
  • Interest in project management
  • English as a primary medium of education a must
  • Knowledge of print production process a plus
  • Must have design Portfolio
