Executive Advisor, Finance and Assurance

Job Summary

The Executive Advisor is responsible for interacting almostcontinuously with C-Level members to foster deep, broad intimacy with assignedmemberships and/or customer segments; applying and packaging our resources tomeet member challenges; and sensing patterns among customer needs to influencethe rolling research and event calendar. Additionally the Executive Advisor operates as the program lead forcommercial teams in APAC and is responsible for supporting commercial calls inconjunction with revenue partners, and is responsible for overall contractvalue outcomes for the programs they oversee.

Responsibilities include:

  • Applies expansive knowledge of CEB research archives (alsoknown as the canon) to help resolve high-value business problems for clients by:

o Delivering insight to members through written and oralcommunications

o “Packaging” insight (deck compilation, summarywriting, project scoping) to meet member needs

o Interacting with members include written communications,check-in calls, phone consultations, in-person briefings, webinars and meetings

o Providing world class value for clients in one-on-one andmulti-client settings

  • Leads design and management of events and projects; eventsand projects executed to firm-best standards
  • Assumes a leadership role in product development activitiesand agenda creation processes for the relevant practice area
  • Acts as a thought leader for the program/practice and playsa leadership role in helping to create the rolling research and event calendar
  • Actively shapes the direction of ongoing research andproduct creation projects; participates in and provides feedback duringcheckpoint meetings and other stages of the strategic research process
  • Supports revenue teams by:

o Participating on calls with members and prospects todiagnose issues and deliver insight and value “in the moment”

o Working with account managers and sales colleagues, buildingjoint ownership and accountability for commercial outcomes

o Creating internal collateral for sales and member servicesstaff

o Overseeing the quality of output from inbound requestresearchers

o Leading the coaching and content training to revenuefunctions and other members of the ExA team

o Using and teaching appropriate advisory and diagnosticframeworks for client interactions

o Serving as a content expert in all areas within program/practice

o Delivering value for clients across practice both in afunctional expertise and cross functional setting

  • Develop third party relationships which can positivelyimpact product quality, speed to market of new products or network expansion

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Outstanding record of academic achievement, minimum Bachelor’s Degree holder (MBA, JD or other graduate degree preferred)
  • Suggested minimum of 5 years related work experience in the consulting field
  • Exceptional facility in scripted and extemporaneous speaking to engage audiences of 1 to 50
  • Ability to master a research terrain and conduct substantive content discussions with senior-level executives
  • Executive “presence” and gravitas; exceptional ability to immediately establish one’s credibility with senior executives
  • Ability to diagnose prospect/member needs and identify relevant resources
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize and distill large amounts of information
  • Strong commercial outlook and client service ethic
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships with a range of internal and external constituencies
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills,
  • Superior interpersonal skills with an ability to work both independently and within a team,
  • Willingness to travel an estimated 50% of the time
  • Willingness to work outside the strict job description parameters, thinking creatively about how to provide the highest level of customer/member service.
