Consultant, Sales and Marketing Solutions

At our members' request, CEB has developed a unique arm of the business called Solutions to support them through their implementation challenges. Over the years, our team has represented one of the fastest growing parts of CEB and has successfully helped many members implement CEB's best practices research. Solutions' ability to leverage CEB's intellectual property in the form of engagement execution, including the use of proprietary survey diagnostics, analyses, and quantitative models, has proven successful in improving sales force effectiveness across numerous industries. Solutions partners with member organizations to deploy consulting projects and training programs targeted at senior sales leaders, front line sales managers, and field sales.

We are currently seeking a Consultant, to join our team of consulting professionals in our Sales and Marketing Solutions Practice that disproportionately focuses on helping large global organizations implement the Challenger ™ Sales Approach. (See

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engagement Ownership/Client Management: Own a portfolio of engagements, driving project management, strategy, and insight generation
  • People Management: Supervise team of analysts through member engagements in quantitative analysis and insight generation. Act as long-term mentor for specific analysts, including coaching, development, and performance reviews/ratings
  • Delivery of Quantitative/Qualitative Analysis: Leverage proprietary quantitative and qualitative analysis to partner with clients, build recommendations and implement strategies
  • Commercial Focus and Business Development: Support business development and project extension efforts through effective client management and coordination with Sales Team e.g. , supporting commercial/sales efforts, extending consulting relationships through extension/renewal business, etc.
  • Entrepreneurial Opportunity: Contribute to a wide range of internal 'Business Building' activities e.g. develop marketing strategy, support recruiting efforts, guide training/development approach, design new service offerings, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree required Graduate degree(s) preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience
  • Demonstrated quantitative analysis skills
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management
  • Strong project management skills- ability to coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously and prioritize demands
  • Demonstrated dedication and success in staff development
  • Demonstrated ability to support sales and marketing activities
  • Original/creative thinking and superior problem solving abilities
