Channel Marketing Manager

We are currentlyseeking a Channel Marketing Manager for our Sales and Marketing Solutions practiceto work in our vibrant DC office. The Channel Marketing Managerwill serve as the interface between the organization’s commercial and product marketingteams and manage the channel marketing strategy and execution for the practice. The Channel Marketing team is responsible for increasing the commercial team’sproductivity and revenue outcomes by enabling valuable member and prospectinteractions and increasing “consideration” of the organization’s product andservices. Activities for the Marketingteam include using a multi-channel strategy to increase lead generation andrevenue and managing the message and communication cadence to prospects.

Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:

ProductMarketing/Commercial Team Interface

  • Work with Product Marketing to translate CEB and Marketing strategies,objectives, and assignments into a concrete and actionable channel marketingstrategic plan. The plan should include function-specific campaign themes thatalign with product value propositions and are clearly heard and acted upon bytarget audiences.
  • Interact with commercial business unit leaders, present executionplans to them, and influence their thinking on marketingprojects/campaigns. Serve as the marketing“expert” (along with the Channel Marketing Senior Manager) for the productswithin our Sales and Marketing Solutions practice.
  • Work with Product Marketing teams to quickly absorb programcontent, new products, and key initiatives. Synthesize, prioritize, andposition messages into marketing campaigns.
  • Work with commercial teams to gather “member voice”,incorporate feedback into marketing campaigns, and share recommendationswith Product Marketing teams for program-level enhancements.
  • Monitor industry-trends, competitive shifts, and emerging media toinfluence campaign messaging and investments.
  • Create easy-to-absorb scripting for commercial teams to improvetheir ability to engage prospects through the channel marketing campaigns.

Marketing Management and ProgramDevelopment

  • Work with Product Marketing to translate CEB and Marketing strategies,objectives, and assignments into a concrete and actionable channel marketingstrategic plan. The plan should include function-specific campaign themes thatalign with product value propositions and are clearly heard and acted upon bytarget audiences.
  • Execute marketing campaigns that are consistent, creative, resonant,and easy to absorb to generate leads and build sales pipelines. Campaignsshould be ROI-focused and multi-channel (digital ads, partnerships, conferences,co-authorship, etc.).
  • Manage the public website experience for our Sales and MarketingSolutions practice to educate prospects on CEB’s products and drive leadgeneration.
  • Coordinate with channel marketing specialists to execute prospectemails using Eloqua software, analyze data, recommend strategy shifts, andmeasure email effectiveness – working with Central Marketing, as appropriate.
  • Drive additional revenue via lead generation through cross-selland up-sell from CEB’s existing customer base.

Processmanagement

  • Manage and maintain integrated campaign calendars. Manage content,cadence, and rhythm of messages to prospects and commercial teams to ensureabsorption of messages.
  • Independently manage projects from problem identification/conception to completion withperiodic guidance from Channel Marketing Leads.
  • Measure channel marketing effectiveness through quarterlyreporting and communicate progress against goals using Salesforce, Eloqua,Google Analytics and other data measurement tools to inform marketingdecisions.
  • Manage competing and changing priorities, resources, and timedemands to produce plans and results that are efficient and goal-oriented.
  • Support the sales enablement strategy, communicationstrategy/calendar, and overall CEB marketing strategy with guidancefrom Product Marketing and Central Marketing.
  • Ensure that all marketing campaigns are consistent with CorporateMarketing messaging and branding.

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Collegedegree in a related discipline
  • Ideally3-5 years marketing experience
  • Abilityto influence and partner with internal business partners on strategic productobjectives and challenges; Energy and positive attitude to work with varyingstakeholders and get them through to the “final mile” of action and outcomes;Persistent and relationship-focused so uses multi-channels to get messagesheard
  • Able toinfluence and advise internal partners on marketing strategy and direction
  • Demonstrateinitiative and resourcefulness; Ability to build relationships and work wellacross multiple functions
  • Excellentwritten communication skills; Excellent oral communication skills; Ability topresent self professionally and intelligently to internal clients/colleagues
  • Strongediting skills; Ability to learn substance of research quickly; Ability tographically depict key insights; Synthesize competitive information on anongoing basis to inform marketing strategy; Proficient in Eloqua and GoogleAnalytics and able present data clearly to inform decisions
  • Excellentorganization, multitasking, and prioritization skills
  • Strongattention to detail
