Description:

Do you have a passion for Sports? Do you love to code? Do you have experience building Android & iOS mobile apps from the ground up? If you answered yes, than CBS Sports may be looking for you! CBSSports.com is looking for an experienced Android mobile app developer our CBSSports.com Engineering team to build out the latest and greatest mobile apps for sports on the internet. To be successful at this job, you need to bring a winning attitude and mad coding skills.

This position may be filled in New York, NY or Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Qualifications:

Developed or were a key contributor to the development of at least 3 major apps that have been published to Google Play or the App Store and has at least 2 years of experience in mobile app development

Has thorough knowledge of the Android programming environment & strong Java programming skills

Experience creating, optimizing, and integrating Application Programming Interface (API) calls; background in API development preferred.

Developed apps that integrate rich media, video, ad serving and analytics

Has sound programming fundamentals: experience working with memory management, thread synchronization, networking, and event based programming issues; utilization of sound engineering principles in writing code.

Ability to work in a cross-functional team alongside other developers contributing to the same code base library.

Familiarity with HTML 5, CSS, XML, Javascript, JSON, RESTful APIs, git.

Collaborated closely with product managers, user interface designers, platform engineers, and multiple groups to define and implement product features.

Built high-level user interfaces using rapid prototyping methodologies

Design application frameworks for use across multiple products

Experience with evaluating and assuming responsibility for code written by third parties.

Worked with other technical teams to identify and build platform elements required to support key mobile product features.

Created Technical Requirements Documentation based on Product Requirement Documents

Implemented upgrades, rebuilds and additional porting of applications.

Juggled multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results-oriented environment.

Evaluated opportunities to bring new product features and content to mobile users from a technical perspective.

Results-driven, able and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.

Build strong working relationships with coworkers, direct reports (if applicable), customers (internal and external), and company management.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

Can successfully pass a background check
