The CBSN team is seeking an Associate Producer! We need a self-starter who anticipates the needs of the show with regard to video, graphics, scripts and other elements while also taking direction from producer and senior producers for a 24-hour digital news channel. Must be able write, book guests and help produce other associated elements for the program.. Must be able to multi-task, ability to edit video and is active in social media.
Write copy, readers and taped packages. Produce and order graphics.
Must have minimum of 3-5 years work experience in Cable, Broadcast or Digital producing segments, reporter hits as well as research, booking.
Must be able to work in fast-paced environment, deal with intense deadline pressure and continually react to breaking news with smart programming and creative storytelling.
Experience in control room and familiarity with ENPS is a plus.
Needs to be knowledgeable about social media and the competitive digital news environment.
Strong communication skills
Needs basic video editing skills —preferably AVID.
Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
Must successfully pass a background check.
