In this new role, you will be responsible for creating CA's API Management Business Unit's technical architecture for the IoT market. You will work hand in hand with the Business Development lead to create a viable stack for CA within the IoT market, specifically focusing on IoT security and integration within Smart Cities, Smart Energy, Automotive and Healthcare. The objective is to create a short and long-term reference architecture including a partner ecosystem to solve real world problems to generate short term commercial success and long term viability.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry and:

  • Create reference architecture for API Management BU's products (and other CA products as needed) within target IoT verticals
  • Work day to day with the Business Development lead to identify and create a partner ecosystem to solve customer needs
  • Work with partners to identify and engineer solution integration, including scoping of product development to be done within CA or by partners
  • Act as thought leader for CA within the IoT space, especially within the security technology sector; speak at conferences, write white papers and participate in industry associations and forums
  • Work with customers and prospects to identify needs and opportunities
  • Travel to various partner meetings, customer meetings and conferences
  • Be entrepreneurial and lean

How You'll Stand Out:

  • 10 years of experience in solution architecture/development, pre-sales engineering or product management; experience with API integration or security
  • Extensive knowledge of IoT technologies including Edge devices, Gateways, Cloud, Big Data, Fog/Edge computing; knowledge of Machine Learning a plus
  • Vertical understanding of technology architectures with APIs; knowledge of microservice architectures a plus
  • Worked in an entrepreneurial venture
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematical, or related
