As a Sr. Accountant you will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial data to be used in financial reports and preparation of journal entries posted to the general ledger, as well as reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing profit and loss analytical reports and working on special projects as determined by management.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry. You will responsible to:

  • Assist in the implementation of the new revenue standard (ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
  • Prepare journal entries for posting into the general ledger and regional subsidiary ledgers.
  • Maintain various accounting schedules on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts, investigate and resolve variances.
  • Prepare Profit & Loss and balance sheet analytical reports.
  • Special projects and analysis as required.
  • Other monthly, weekly, or daily financial analysis as required.
  • Prepare audit support for internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statement footnote disclosure support.
  • Test new applications and system enhancements.
  • Supervise work performed by Associate Accountants/Accountants.
  • Process improvements.
  • Assist with SOX compliance.

How You’ll Stand Out:

The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. She/he will have an outstanding track record and reputation for being proactive, assertive and detail oriented. An ideal background will include:

  • Typically 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills in managing multiple, diverse and conflicting priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, focusing on Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret accounting pronouncements.
  • Business travel of approximately 10 or less percent yearly is expected for this position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or global equivalent in Accounting.

Certifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
