The Principal Software Engineer (C++) will work on the development and maintenance of Ca Technologies’ Data Science Platform. This platform is used for Payment Security and Mainframe Performance Managment Products. The successful candidate will work in a globalized, highly collaborative environment and will be given the freedom to innovate new product ideas and technologies for their product area. A strong background in C++ and Web Technologies (Including Apache. Tomcat, etc.) is essential.

About the Role:
In this role, you’ll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry by:
- Developing and Maintaining CA Technologies’ Data Science Platform
- Working with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and other departments to drive success
- Coaching and Mentoring Agile Team Members
How You’ll Stand Out:
The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. He/she will have an outstanding track record and reputation for advising senior leaders on strategic initiatives within the IT industry. An ideal background will include:
- • Expert level C++
- Python and Python Packages and Libraries
- Boost.Python C++/Python interface
- Experience using web servers such as Apache or Tomcat in conjunction with Python. Knowledge in nginx and uwsgi preferred
- Relational and Non-Relational Database Technologies: Oracle, MySQL. Knowledge in MongoDB, Cassandra and any other nosql databases a plus
- Familiar with XML and JSON
- Strong system knowledge in Linux (RHEL, CentOS). Must be familiar with yum, rpm and package installation procedures
- Strong debugging skills Other requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Advanced experience in the above mentioned skills is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a diverse, team-based environment
- Machine learning and data mining experience
