As a Director, Solution Sales at CA, you will be responsible to plan, execute, monitor, and direct a Solution Sales team's performance and resource allocation needs within a specified geographic territory (area, country, or region). Work with sales management to ensure the Solution Sales organization effectively drives and supports the solution selling portion of the sales cycle so CA solutions are presented in a way to meet the customer's and Partner's business objectives. This position also has responsibility to work with sales and delivery groups to ensure appropriate collaboration on sales opportunities to achieve properly qualified customer and/or Partner expectations.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll help support CA Technologies charter to transform the IT industry by:

  • Managing and growing a team of Solution Account Directors and Managers within our API Management business unit working with a focus on Public Sector accounts
  • Building strong relationships and identifying customer needs
  • Delivering value to customers
  • Making persuasive product presentations
  • Closing through logical, incremental steps

How You'll Stand Out:

The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. She/he will have an outstanding track record and reputation for achieving sales goals by running sizable enterprise software teams. They will be a leader, organized, passionate, and love to mentor and build teams. An ideal background will include:

  • Typically 10 years of experience in enterprise software sales. Experience working with API Management solutions is ideal, but not required
  • Must have experience working with a focus on Federal accounts, SLED experience is a plus
  • Experience managing teams of 6 or more direct reports
  • Adept at navigating complex highly matrixed software sales cycles
  • Demonstrated ability in mentoring sales teams in the art of closing net new logos and mushrooming accounts
  • Consistent over quota performer
  • Expertise in the areas of new business development, relationship building, pipeline management, account development, team building and mentoring
