This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily operational activities within an organization to ensure proper contract review, setup and approval for accurate revenue recognition, billing, financial reporting, commissioning and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage performance of staff; delegating projects based on priority and resource availability.
  • Establish, measure and report on team performance objectives and make recommendations regarding alignment to departmental strategy.
  • Perform mid-year and yearly reviews, establish goals and provide feedback throughout the year to ensure goals are achievable and met for all direct reports.
  • Understand and able to interpret relevant GAAP and CA policies
  • Understanding of local tax variations and relevant statutory reporting
  • Understand the new FASB Revenue Reporting rules which will replace the GAAP model.
  • Review, approve and execute contracts based on established limits.
  • Work closely with Financial Reporting to maximize efficiencies related to the Book Close process and ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Work with the corporate integration team on all acquisitions; participate in the planning and execution of all integrations.
  • Coordinate with the Contract Management/Sales Organizations to ensure that the contract terms and conditions are acceptable and compliant to SOX.
  • Oversee progress of relevant system implementations and enhancements.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve departmental processes and staffing to meet changing needs and expectations.
  • Make decision on how to account for contracts per SOP 97-2—booking business
  • Used to dealing with transactions over $3m USD

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • SAP knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of SFDC an advantage
  • Knowledge of at least one other European language
