INTRODUCTION

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/the Bank) is seeking to recruit a national from its member countries to fill the position of Content Producer in the Corporate Communications Unit. The successful candidate will be based at CDB's headquarters in St. Michael, Barbados.

THE UNIT

The Corporate Communication Unit (CCU/the Unit) is primarily responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating the Bank's communications programme to build and enhance its profile. The Unit manages and maintains CDB's communication channels and media relations, and leads on the development and dissemination of its information and knowledge products. In addition, the Unit provides strategic advice and leadership to the Bank on internal and external communications, and external relations.

THE ROLE

The Content Producer reports to the Head, Corporate Communications and works in a collaborative way to plan, produce, maintain and measure the impact of the Bank's communications content. The Content Producer will support the design and delivery of creative communications content on CDB's channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Content Producer will be required to:

1. Create and update content for the Bank's website, intranet, social media and digital signage platforms.

2. Execute multi-platform content plans for major events and projects.

3. Use social listening to discover and seize opportunities to tell CDB's story.

4. Provide creative support that allows CDB to react quickly to, and lead conversations and trends in development.

5. Produce original and engaging digital content, including videos, slideshows, presentations and infographics; and adapt, repurpose and repackage existing content for the Bank's digital platforms.

6. Create engaging social and digital content such as graphics, videos, galleries/albums and infographics.

7. Use data/social analytics to inform content decisions.

8. Create digital analytics and insights reports.

9. Create and design assets for digital campaigns, stories and publications as needed (banners, images, charts, etc.).

10. Support the production of CDB publications—from concept to publishing.

11. Assist with rollout of CDB's digital campaigns, including search engine marketing and promoted content on the Bank's social media platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

The Content Producer should have proven experience in planning and implementing content strategies. He/she should have superior graphic and web design, and video editing skills, along with excellent communication and storytelling abilities. The Content Producer will be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail.
Technical Grounding and Expertise
The successful candidate must have:

1. An undergraduate degree in visual communication design, graphic design, media arts, marketing or a related discipline.

2. Certification in digital marketing, digital communications or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

3. Three to five years' proven experience in content production.

4. Knowledge of, and/or experience in, global development, cause communications/advocacy communications and marketing would be an asset.

5. Proven photography and videography experience.

6. Previous experience working with online content management systems such as Drupal and Wordpress. Understanding of, and/or appreciation for, international development topics and issues would be an asset.
