Field Account Manager (UK)

The Field Account Manager (FAM), will play an integral role in the successful onboarding of top dealer groups in the UK, ensuring proper onboarding of key accounts both pre and post-sale. As a field-based employee, the FAM will thrive in a fast-paced environment, traveling to individual dealerships within national groups to conduct trainings, teach best practices, and ensure optimization. The ideal candidate has a sales-forward attitude, and the hustle to promote a true disruptor brand. Persuasiveness, the ability to communicate clearly, and challenge conventional trains of thought using data and reason are integral characteristics of this role.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assume responsibility for designated CarGurus National Account client accounts
  • Conduct on-site trainings and workshops for national groups
  • Analysis of group performance, identifying locations in need of extra help and training
  • Coordinate with the entire National Accounts team to prioritize communication strategies
  • Become a ‘thought leader’ on how CarGurus best partners with and services our National account customers
  • Prepare and analyze monthly performance reports for all National Accounts (identify successes, or potential issues within each group)
  • Become a subject matter expert on all CarGurus products
  • Proactively consult with central corporate advisors and dealerships (where applicable) solving issues and addressing questions 
  • Educate dealers on how to maximize the value of the CarGurus platform by leveraging tools, reports, and best practices
  • Strong analytical skills to solve complex, interdepartmental/inter-operational issues
  • Advanced collaboration with internal departments (sales, billing, content, and engineering) to convey key issues to the rest of the CarGurus organization including escalation when appropriate
  • Establish strong relationships with large decision makers within client base to foster client satisfaction and trust
  • Finding opportunities to further sell client-base and work with National Account Team to cross-sell when possible/applicable

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong sense of urgency and internal motivation
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to travel significantly as this is a field-based position
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented, entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
