Enterprise Account Director

This role will entail selling CarGurus newest advertising products and services to automotive dealerships across the U.K. The Enterprise Account Director (EAD) will be strong at presenting CarGurus offerings and benefits as an inside sales professional (in person, over the phone and via email). This role is based remotely in the UK and will require travel in and around the UK, working a defined portfolio of national accounts. For this position, it is critical that candidates be persuasive self-starters. The candidate will be expected to manage their own time, set priorities and meet monthly quotas. In addition to regular sales visits and reviews with clients, the EAD will work collaboratively with marketing to help run dealer events.

Candidates must be highly analytical and adept at challenging traditional methods of thought around digital and traditional advertising, as CarGurus enters the market as a “disruptor” brand. Time-management, and the ability to build and maintain a pipeline are key attributes to the Enterprise Account Director. As an Inside Sales person, the ideal candidate must be highly persuasive both over the phone, email, and in person, with the ability to build rapport and move prospects through the sales funnel with a data-driven sales mentality.


  • 5+ years of direct sales experience (some of which has been attained in the field)
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint
  • Proven high performance results attainment in client acquisition and retention/growth role – ideally working with large complex organisations / enterprise level clients
  • Willingness and ability to travel on a frequent basis to the UK
  • Strong business consulting, analysis and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and alongside the inside sales team, team-first approach
  • Motivated self-starter with the desire to succeed in a fast-paced rapidly growing company
  • Outstanding communication, relationship-management ability cross-functionally and with executive management
  • Automotive experience desirable but not essential
  • Sandler Sales methodology a plus
