This position is in Cargill's animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.

Job Purpose and Impact

We are looking for a Trial Leader to lead aquaculture trials (shrimp and salmon) and drive digital innovation in research processes. This role combines hands-on trial execution with the opportunity to shape digital tools and data solutions, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of science, technology, and operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for planning, reporting and quality assurance of trials and keep an ongoing and active dialogue with researchers, lab and technicians.
  • Lead and support digitalization initiatives within trial operations, including data handling, reporting tools, and process optimization.
  • Contribute to continuous evaluation and improvement of experimental methodology, daily routines and procedures.
  • Works with scientists and processing technicians to ensure accurate formulation and ingredient procurement.
  • Ensure trials comply to the safety program and animal care policies.
  • Provides training and engage technicians for trial execution.
  • Support the development and execution of salmon and shrimp trials.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially in Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English language.
  • Able to work independently, and with other team members, with minimal supervision.


Preferred qualifications
  • Master's degree in animal science, nutrition, or a related field.
  • Experience or strong interest in digitalization and use of digital tools in research.
  • Analytical/statistical knowledge and experience with databases or development of computer tools, Power BI.
  • Appropriate Animal Care Training certification.
  • Experience in running research trials,
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts as needed.
