The Team and Role:

The Digital Inbound Marketing Team is looking for an experienced UI/UX rockstar to help build the next-generation web experiences for Capitalone.com. You will work closely with design and business leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver creative tests, strategy and designs that establish the future brand and product experience of Capital One's online customer acquisition platform. This team is thinking big, devising experiments that are both innovative and industry leading.

You Are:

• A master craftsman. Confidently drive projects from strategy through execution. You've got a whole arsenal of tools and techniques at your disposal that you dispatch appropriately depending on the customer and business goals. You rationalize and implement the within established SLDC tools, bringing value, purpose, and utility at each step. You have a sensibilities for brand through creative influences of typography, color, and animation.

• A systems thinker. You think larger than just the task at hand. You have lots of experience working within large and complicated web systems with many touch points and channels. You often think about scalability and adaptability across products and platforms.

• Passionate. You are genuinely interested in what you do. You make it your business to know as much as you can about the people you are delivering for and advocate for their needs within the business.

• A Customer Advocate. You cultivate a deep empathy for people and anticipate their needs. You help them to focus on what's essential at the moment and advocate for their best interest.

What You'll Bring:

• A portfolio that highlights strong web experience developing within establisbed and cutting-edge web platforms at scale. Your portfolio should show work that spans across a variety of platforms, is responsive and considers scale.

• Solid UI/UX experience.

• Ability to work with low fidelity and high fidelity deliverables in agile teams.

• Pro-active teamwork style and vision for your team while providing constructive feedback and empowering others through mentoring when necessary.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

• Develop web experiences with the latest HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies, e.g., node, HTML5, CSS3, Angular 1 and 2, leveraging best practices, and online trends to provide recommendations for the team.

• Not intimidated by current design tools, e.g., Adobe CC, Sketch, Invision, etc., or working with them to develop and complete deliverables

• Proficient with Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Tools, e.g., JIRA, git, git tools, npm, bower, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or military experience

- At least 6 years of experience with of web development with UI/UX skill sets.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5 years of experience with foundational web technologies-HTML, CSS, JavaScript-and the surrounding technologies and tools enabling them.

- 3 years of experience with Software Development tools.

- 2 years of experience working in agile teams.
