Capital One is seeking a Supply Chain Associate

Capital One recognizes that its external suppliers play a vital role in providing innovative services and exceptional quality to its customers. The associates in Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) play a critical part in managing Capital One's supply chain, ensuring that the company negotiates the best deals with its suppliers, and effectively manages the risks associated with doing business with suppliers. ESM is seeking an associate to provide high quality service to Capital One associates and external suppliers. This ESM associate will play a critical role to enable Capital One to transact with its suppliers in a well-managed manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and influencing skills, a keen attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Successful associates are self-motivated, possess strong decision-making ability and are comfortable researching and solving problems across multiple areas and in a variety of technologies and systems.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

- Transaction research and troubleshooting within ESM's Procurement systems

- Partnering with internal Capital One associates to appropriately transact with external suppliers

- Managing risks inherent in Capital One's dealings with external suppliers

- Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities

- Generating reports and analysis on spend, risks, and/or process performance

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors' degree from Virginia Commonwealth University or University of Richmond.

At least 1 year of related operations management, basic procurement concepts, relationship management, or risk management experience.

At least 1 year experience in Microsoft Office or Google's G-Suite

Preferred Qualification

Bachelors' degree in Supply Chain Management

• Strong project management and planning experience

• At least 2 year of related operations management, basic procurement concepts, relationship management, or risk management experience

• Demonstrated detail orientation, strong written and oral communication, problem solving, teamwork and collaboration

• Ability to work with limited supervision
