Product Manager, Cloud Observability

Our Product Managers play a critical role in achieving our goals. They lead multi-disciplinary teams to define product strategy and develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward.

EvolveIT is a core Shared Technology business within Capital One, responsible for driving our ability to rapidly migrate to the cloud at scale. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to help us refine and drive our product strategy and roadmap for a portfolio focusing on cloud observability. You will play a pivotal role in defining product requirements and roadmaps across multiple cloud providers, multiple internal and off-the-shelf products. You will be responsible for partnering with your product management peers to ensure that the right business needs, are fulfilled by the right products, at the right time. Ultimately empowering thousands of agile teams across the enterprise to ship faster, learn more and solve faster.

In this role you will:

  • Relentlessly push to understand user and stakeholder needs and ensure they are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions
  • Set product vision and lead road mapping, goal setting, story writing, project execution, market testing and roll-out strategy
  • Identify unmet needs and innovation opportunities and guide interdisciplinary teams to deliver powerful products to market
  • Regularly and systematically use key performance indicators (KPI's) and other data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making
  • Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycle
  • Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams
  • Establish or participate in Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean methods which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps


Ideal candidates will possess:
  • Experience building products in a regulated industry
  • Experience shipping products on multiple cloud providers
  • Experience implementing and managing infrastructure monitoring solutions at scale
  • Experience with cloud monitoring solutions
  • Experience delivering API first products
  • Experience with containerization solutions
  • Track record of defining strategy, creating advocacy/alignment and being accountable for outcomes
  • Industry or hobbyist experience with emerging and leading technologies across disciplines (IoT, Machine Learning, Voice interfaces, etc)
  • Agile Product Management experience
  • Fluency in human-centered product discovery methods such as design thinking and service design


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital product management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into technologist facing digital products
  • 3-5 years of experience in Agile product management
