Sr. Manager - Process Management - Credit Policy Management

Job Description:

The Consumer Credit Risk Management product team has a very aggressive and robust roadmap for COMS (our Credit Decision Governance application) and other related applications and processes. Because of this, we are seeking to expand our team by adding a keenly analytical, "roll up your sleeves and dig in" Project/Process & Business Analysis, Senior Risk Manager. The types of problems that this role will help solve include ways to "lean out" our Credit Decision & Program Governance processes by identifying the right mix of risk management and lean processes to assist our 1st & 2nd Line teams. This includes but is not limited to: how to better structure, renew, monitor, document, track critical financial data and control adherence to credit policy for consumer credit decisions across all LOBs. In addition, this resource will be actively involved in investigating how to leverage machine learning as it relates to these processes. The successful Senior Risk Manager will also be expected to delivery high quality and relevant presentations to the senior management team and to build cross-functional relationships across IT, the 1st line (Business) and the rest of the Consumer Credit Risk Management team.

General Responsibilities:

  • Relentlessly push to define the problem we are solving for and understand the business processes and challenges. Ensure our customers are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions
  • Work with the Product Owner to help set product vision and actively participate in road mapping, goal setting, story writing, project execution, testing, and product roll-out strategy
  • Identify unmet needs and disruption opportunities and work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative products
  • Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making
  • Develop and present business cases and other information to champion a targeted outcome
  • Actively participate in a rigorous process of test and learn with focus on identifying and developing a minimum viable product (MVP) for process or solution
  • Assist in prioritizing, negotiating and removing blockers to orchestrate successful launch of identified solution
  • Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, and thought leader while actively participating as a collaborative team member
  • Participate and innovate on Design Thinking, Agile, and LEAN rituals which promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps
  • Regularly build and present target solutions and other relevant project / product materials to senior management

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years leading a cross-functional team
  • At least 5 years of experience in process management
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in the development and delivery of financial reporting to senior level executives
  • At least 3 years of experience working with technology build initiatives


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Six Sigma, LEAN, Design Thinking certifications
  • Agile or Design Thinking advanced training or certification
  • Experience with internal and external auditors; policy and procedure interpretation and controls implementation.
