Sr Manager, HR Product Management

We are pursuing a bold Digital & Technology agenda, and are aggressively seeking a top notch Digital Product Manager to help us create and deliver a world-class experience for Human Resources important customer base - Capital One's associates. As a Digital product manager in HR, you will drive the development of new enterprise products and features designed to simplify and transform the experience for our associates, utilizing cutting edge technology. We have an exciting agenda to transform the associate experience in ways that will further empower associates to do the amazing work that they do at Capital One. Our product managers take the lead in driving this agenda and owning the product in an agile environment. What You'll Do:
  • Define product vision based on understanding of customer (associate) needs, business objectives, and technology capabilities
  • Manage product roadmap with a focus on creating enterprise-level product(s) for the associate experience
  • Support product objectives with business cases, product success metrics, design thinking, customer feedback, market research, marketing strategy and competitive analysis
  • Closely collaborate with marketing, technology, analytics, operations and lines of business to define requirements, prioritize features and guide product delivery
  • Lead cross-functional product team and team of engineers to translate customer needs and technology directions into new product strategies and features
  • Own product within an agile environment, specifically documenting user stories, acceptance criteria and user interface design
  • Drive day-to-day prioritization of work operations, projects and scope, troubleshoot reported issues
  • Learn, understand and help with product presentations and participate in general technical discussions

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A background in managing digital technologies
  • Passion for transforming customer experience and delivering innovation in digital world
  • Experience in an agile development environment in a product owner role with strong knowledge of agile processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership and tailoring to multiple audiences
  • Leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus, negotiate resolutions, and garner respect from other teams
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to solve problems quickly, establish frameworks, ability to assess opportunities with hard data
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital product management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • 3-5 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 3-5 years of experience in Agile product management
